Sing, Calliope—

A muse travels under many guises to inspire creators and kindle fledgling ideas. Throughout the ages. Calliope has appeared independently as herself, in a cohort with her sisters, and as other muses all at once. Her spirit persists—wherever there are poets and artists, she is present.

A new era dawns in 2020, where Calliope’s voice emerges strong and true. Words, silent and spoken, carry true power within them. Hark, reader, do you hear?

A NOTE ON TRANSCRIPTION

Past authors invoking the muse include Homer, Virgil and Ovid. Each called upon her touch but ultimately voiced a male narrative. The transcriber would like to acknowledge previous gender politics involved in this history. Transcription is made on a best efforts basis.
